Warm Fuzzies

There is nothing I love more than.....

Seeing a missionary in the airport waiting to:
1) Go out into the field and didicate their life for the next two years to serving the Lord.
2) See their family at the airport security gate.

I sometimes wonder though, do missionaries ever get sick of random people coming up to them in the airport and asking them the same 3 questions? Because I feel like that would get annoying to me. But I guess then again they have a different mentality than I. They are wholesome. They are prepared. They are the chosen. They are the Lord's protected and beloved sons who He trusts to share His word.

The Dark Knight

The sound of spinning wheels are sounding through the room.
Fans blowing to cool the dripping brow of those who occupy the seats.
A cloud of a desirous smell hits harder than a Mac Truck.
I cannot quite pinpoint when or where this musk is from.
Then... it comes.
:Flashback:
I am taken back to a day and time far from the present.
This scene is full of pompoms and a roaring crowds of restless fans.
One face stands out in the crowd.
Yes, it is He.
The one who wore, so proudly, his Polo shirt, Seven jeans, and Puma tennis shoes.
That morning he spritzed himself with that wondrous creation of a concoction.
:Reality:
As this Mac Truck continues to crush my sense of smell I slowly drift into the lull of my cycling.
I know this smell all too well.
Yes, it is the Dark Knight.

Back to the Blog

So I decided that it has been entirely too long since I have posted.. so today I turn a new leaf.

Last week for President's Day some of my roommates and I went to Sandy, UT and stayed for the weekend. Jen (my awesome roommie) let us stay at here house. We cooked treats all weekend long and Kynzie and I got sick as dogs from it... too much sweets = too big of a "food baby"

Kynzie's dad was kind enough to get us all ski passes to Park City Mountain Resort. It was such an amazing day!! The resort was so much fun... definitely my style. I Love Park City.. a lot. I need to go back when it is nice weather outside and see its beauty! Our roommate Brooke also met us there to ski for the day.

This is my first ski season, and let us just say I have much much much to learn... If anyone saw an encounter like the following... that was me. Wow... what a treat that was.

Luckily I did not break any bones, although I probably should have! Needless to say, I am now much more conscious of those skiing around me!

That's What I Love About Sunday's

Picking out a dress...
Talking to everyone at church...
Seeing a good clean cut boy with a suit on...
Feeling the Spirit...
Being with friends...
Everyone piling into my room to watch a movie in the rain...

All in all.. It was a GREAT first Sunday in my new apartment all on my own!

Its one of my fav things!
Whether i'm in someone's room, or at the library with Nat, or where i just happen to be! hahah

My Second Home

So today we arrived at my 2nd favorite home!!! Navarre, FL!

We started coming to this beach when i was 3 or 4.  After a couple of years of coming we stopped =(   it was very sad!!!

But the past 3 years we have come and i love it like no other place!! It is not touristy at ALL.  You have the beach to yourself with no bothers or interruptions! Just you, the sun, and the sand!

Back in the Fort

Well after being gone from Utah for about 2 weeks, i have come to the conclusion that the Fort isn't such a bad place after all. I haven't done much because Lauren and Emily aren't out of school yet but i cant wait for them to be! I love those kids to death!!

So in my spare time i have been hanging out with my mom... such a great gal. Seeing my brother on occasion but needless to say, he is a little preoccupied with wedding hubbub. But i have to say one of the most fun things i have done since being home is making runs to Sharum's Garden Center with Martha. We have gone a couple of times and i just LOVE picking out flowers! After we find what we like then we go back to her house and spend time together planting. I think i am finding out that i have a little inner gardener in me!! =)
Here are a few of my favorite flowers that we have planted!
